Rebecca Diaz graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2005. She worked in south Texas for five years before moving to Kentucky and joining Russell Immigration Law Firm in 2011.

A child of immigrant parents, Rebecca speaks fluent English and Spanish. As a paralegal at Russell Immigration, she handles asylum, family based and DACA applications as well as filings with the Immigration Court. Rebecca enjoys completing challenging applications such as asylum, waiver and cancellation applications and especially looks forward to informing clients of approvals. Meeting people from all over the world is one of her favorite things about working at Russell Immigration.

When not in the office, Rebecca enjoys volunteering in a worldwide bible education program and spending time with her family.

 

Mike Elsherif

Mike Elsherif is a Palestinian-American born in Kuwait that survived the Persian Gulf War.  He immigrated from Kuwait to Louisville following the war in search of a better life.  He is a graduate of the UNC-School of the Arts, School of Filmmaking in Winston-Salem, NC.  He is fluent in English and Arabic.

He loves working with immigrants from all over the world because they reflect on his past, present and future.  He likes to focus on U-Visa and Asylum cases because of the humanitarian effort they serve society.  

In his time off, Mike likes to make films, watch classic cinema, go to museums and play recreational sports like kickball and basketball.

Pam Vazquez

Pam attended Devry University for a degree in Business Management. She worked for three major Airlines at the Louisville International Airport, in management and administrative positions, before joining Russell Immigration Law Firm in August of 2013. Originally from Veracruz, Mexico, Pam is fluent in English and Spanish.

As a Paralegal, Pam works on a variety of cases ranging from family and employment-based petitions, adjustments of status, immigrant and non-immigrant visas, visas for crime victims, asylum applications, as well as filings with the Immigration Court. Pam’s passion and commitment for helping others truly reflect on her work.

Energetic, sympathetic, and highly organized are just some of the qualities that Pam brings to Russell Immigration Law Firm.

 

Melanie Jones

Melanie graduated from Western Kentucky University with a degree in International Business and Spanish in 2010. After college, she lived and worked in Santiago, Chile for four years. There, she worked as a translator for a law firm specialized in providing legal advice to fruit and vegetable exporters. She joined Russell Immigration Law in December of 2015 upon returning to the United States.

She works on various types of cases at Russell Immigration, and loves continually learning about immigration law and how to help clients. Since she is no longer working abroad, she enjoys getting to meet people from all over the world right here in her hometown.   

In her time off, Melanie enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.  

Jesabel Guerrero

An immigrant herself, Jesabel Guerrero understands on a personal level what many of our clients must face in their lives. She is originally from Mexico, and is fluent in English and Spanish. 

Organized and detail oriented, Jesabel works on all types of cases, including U Visas, DACA, and family-based petitions and immigrant visas among others.

Jesabel enjoys meeting and working with clients from many different cultures all over the world. When not working, Jesabel enjoys dancing, helping her family, and spending time with her daughter and friends.
